Incredibly unique - one of a kind antique 18k yellow gold intaglio carved carnelian ring. Every way you look at this ring it's stunning. Fits size 6.5 (sizable). Crisp antique hallmarks.
Carving looks to be two cranes or herons looking at each other. Cranes and herons often symbolize vigilance or longevity and a pair of birds can represent harmony, partnership or balance. Likely Victorian-Edwardian, late 19th-early 20th century.
